What it is

The Halstead 300737 is a cold inlet valve used on the domestic hot water circuit of Halstead gas boilers. It controls the flow of cold mains water into the boiler's DHW section, allowing the appliance to draw water for heating. It is a 15 mm ball valve type and supersedes the earlier 300709.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • No hot water drawn when a tap is opened, with the boiler otherwise running normally
  • Reduced or intermittent domestic hot water flow at the outlets
  • Water weeping or dripping from the valve body or its connections
  • The valve spindle is stiff, seized or will not turn
  • Scale or debris build-up around the inlet causing restricted flow

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above
  • Check the serial number prefix on Finest models, as fitment depends on whether the appliance is before or from Fgx500000131
  • Inspect the existing valve to confirm the 15 mm connection and that the earlier 300709 has not been fitted in a different configuration
  • Check for any associated seals or washers on the existing installation before starting work
