What it is

The Halstead 300656 is a plastic control knob used on Halstead Finest and Finest Gold gas boilers, plus the Wickes 90. It fits onto the appliance control spindle and provides the manual grip for adjusting the boiler setting. The knob is a serviceable plastic component and is replaced when the original becomes damaged or fails to grip the spindle.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The knob is cracked, split or broken around the spindle
  • The knob turns freely without changing the boiler setting
  • The knob is loose and slips on the control spindle
  • The knob has come off the spindle and will not stay seated
  • The control markings are worn or no longer legible

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model is listed in the Fits section above
  • Check the appliance serial number against the FROM and UP TO ranges shown
  • Compare the existing knob and spindle fitment before ordering
  • Have the part number 300656 to hand when checking compatibility
