What it is
The Riello 3006108 is an armature, also listed as a nucleus, for Riello oil burner assemblies. It forms the moving core of the solenoid valve, sitting inside the coil and shifting when the coil is energised to control fuel flow through the valve. It is a service component for the Riello Press range of oil burners.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The burner fails to fire or drops into lockout when the solenoid coil is energised
- No fuel flow through the valve despite the coil receiving power
- Intermittent firing or unstable flame as the armature sticks within the coil
- The valve does not close cleanly, allowing fuel past when the burner shuts down
- Visible wear, scoring or sticking on the armature body

- Check the burner type number (476, 477, 478, 479, 481, 482, 483 or 484) on the appliance plate
- Verify the existing component is marked 3006108 before ordering
- Inspect the solenoid coil and valve body for damage that may also need attention
