What it is

The Riello solenoid coil 3003828 is an electrical coil that operates the solenoid valve on Riello oil burners. Energising the coil opens the valve to allow fuel through to the nozzle during the burner's operating cycle. It is a service part for the Riello RL range of oil burners.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Burner locks out shortly after start-up because the solenoid valve does not open
  • No fuel delivered to the nozzle despite the pump running and pressure present
  • Coil body visibly swollen, cracked, discoloured or showing signs of overheating
  • Open-circuit or infinite resistance reading across the coil windings
  • Intermittent firing, with the burner running normally on some cycles and failing on others
