What it is

The Riello MOTOR (RS38/RL38 3PH), part number 3003772, is a three-phase drive motor used in Riello burner assemblies. It drives the burner fan and pump stage on RS 38 and RL 38 series appliances. The motor is supplied as a Riello burner spare.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The burner fan does not turn, or turns only intermittently, when the appliance calls for heat.
  • Motor runs hot, smells of burnt winding insulation, or trips the burner's electrical protection.
  • Grinding, rumbling or squealing from the motor or bearings during the pre-purge and running phases.
  • Burner locks out repeatedly with no ignition, where the motor is failing to reach or hold running speed.
  • Visible scoring, play or seizure at the motor shaft.

Before you order

  • Confirm the burner model and code against the fit list above, as fitment varies by burner type.
  • Check the supply is three-phase; this motor is not the single-phase variant.
  • Verify the existing motor's plate carries part number 3003772 before removal.
  • Inspect the motor mounting and coupling arrangement for damage that may have caused the original failure.
