What it is

A complete cast surround unit finished in gold effect, manufactured by Valor for the Dream 2 fire range. It forms the decorative cast surround around the fire opening, replacing the existing surround when it is damaged or the finish has deteriorated. It is supplied as a complete casting unit rather than individual cast sections.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Cracks or fractures in the cast sections
  • Chipped, flaking or worn gold effect finish
  • Discolouration or tarnishing that cannot be cleaned back
  • Distortion or poor seating of the surround against the fire or fireplace opening
  • Missing or broken cast sections leaving the surround incomplete

Before you order

  • Confirm your appliance model against the manufacturer's parts list before ordering
  • Check the existing surround finish to ensure the gold effect matches your installation
  • Verify that a complete surround unit is required rather than individual cast components
  • Check the surround for any additional damage to the fire or fireplace that may affect fitting
