What it is

The Riello probe connection is a burner spare that links the flame detection probe to the burner control circuit. It is used across the Riello Gulliver and RDBS burner families, where it forms part of the flame sensing path. A sound connection here is required for the control box to read the flame signal correctly.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Burner locks out intermittently with no consistent fault pattern
  • Control box fails to register a flame signal after ignition
  • Connection is loose, corroded or heat-damaged at the probe terminal
  • Insulation on the probe lead is cracked, brittle or showing exposed conductor
