What it is
The Alpha 3.025326 is a complete heat exchanger seal kit for Alpha's InTEC 2 and Eco 2 condensing boiler ranges. It provides the seals that sit at the heat exchanger joint faces, keeping the water circuit sound where the exchanger meets its mating components. Seals of this type harden, flatten and take a set through repeated heat cycling, so they are renewed as a set whenever the heat exchanger is removed or disturbed.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or staining around the heat exchanger joint faces
- Seals found flattened, cracked or hardened when the exchanger is opened up
- Slow loss of system pressure with no leak traceable elsewhere on the appliance
- Corrosion or scale build-up at the seal seating faces
- Any reassembly after heat exchanger work, where old seals should not be reused
