What it is
The Alpha pump group, part number 3.020069, is the circulation assembly used on the Alpha InTEC 50CS boiler. It moves water through the appliance's heating circuit so heat can be distributed around the system. It is listed by the manufacturer as a pump group rather than a standalone pump head.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fires but radiators or hot water stay cold, indicating poor circulation
- Grinding, whining or rumbling noise from the pump area
- Boiler locks out or displays a circulation-related fault
- Water weeping from the pump body or its seals
- Pump does not run when the boiler calls for heat
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance is an Alpha InTEC 50CS
- Check the existing part number against the manufacturer's parts list for your model
- Establish whether the full pump group or only the pump head is required
- Isolate the electrical supply and water before removing the old part
