What it is
The Alpha condensate trap, complete, collects and drains condensate produced by the condensing boiler, preventing acidic condensate from entering the flue or casing. It is a genuine Alpha part, number 3.016875, referenced by the manufacturer against the CD18R.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water leaking from the condensate trap, pipework or their seals
- The boiler locking out on a blocked-condensate fault
- Gurgling or bubbling noises from the condensate system
Before you order
- Isolate the boiler before removing any condensate trap or pipework
- Clear any blockage in the condensate run at the same time
- Refit with new seals so air cannot be drawn into the flue system
