What it is
The Alpha 3.014697 is a cable for the 3-way diverter valve fitted to Alpha CB50 LPG appliances. It links the diverter valve actuator to the boiler wiring, allowing the valve to switch the appliance between central heating and domestic hot water operation. The part is supplied as a cable with its factory-fitted connectors.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The diverter valve does not move between heating and hot water positions
- The boiler delivers heating when hot water is demanded, or the reverse
- The diverter valve actuator responds intermittently or not at all
- Visible damage, scorching or loose terminals on the cable or its plugs
- Boiler lockout or fault indication linked to the diverter valve circuit
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance is an Alpha CB50 LPG model
- Check the part number on the existing cable against 3.014697
- Inspect the connector type and pin layout on the existing cable before ordering
- Check the diverter valve actuator itself, as the fault may lie there rather than in the cable
