What it is

A 28mm lever ball valve from the Altecnic valves and vents range, supplied under the Special Offers brand. It is a quarter-turn isolation valve that opens and closes the flow through a pipe run, and is suited to boiler and heating circuit applications. The lever handle gives a clear visual indication of the valve position.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The lever is stiff, seized or will not turn through its full quarter turn
  • Water weeps from the spindle or gland when the valve is operated
  • The valve body or end connections show corrosion, scale or staining
  • The valve will not isolate the pipe run, so flow continues when closed
  • Visible leakage from the body or joints under normal system pressure
