The 28mm Straight Auto Bypass Valve is an automatic bypass valve supplied within the SPECIAL OFFERS Altecnic Valves & Vents range. It is intended for boiler-based heating systems, where a bypass path is needed to keep a minimum flow through the appliance as system controls close down. The valve has a straight-pattern body in a 28 mm size.

• The valve no longer opens or closes in response to changing system flow, leaving the boiler with insufficient flow through the heat exchanger.
• Persistent kettling or banging from the boiler during periods when heating controls shut down.
• Repeated boiler lockouts or overheat trips linked to low flow through the appliance.
• Visible weeping, corrosion or scale build-up around the valve body or connections.
• The bypass setting drifts or the adjustment no longer holds at the required position.

• Confirm the pipework at the installation point is 28 mm.
• Check that a straight pattern body suits the available pipe run and space; an angled body is not interchangeable in every layout.
• Verify the valve setting and flow requirements against the boiler manufacturer's instructions for the appliance being worked on.
• Confirm the existing valve's connection type matches the system pipework before removal.
