What it is
The Drayton 27651 is a genuine mid-position valve actuator (motor head) for Drayton's MA range of 3-port zone valves. It drives the valve between hot water, heating and mid-position states as called for by the heating controls, and separates from the valve body via Drayton's snap-on fitting for easy replacement.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Valve motor hums or buzzes but does not move the valve
- Central heating or hot water only works intermittently, suggesting the valve is stuck mid-position
- Manual lever moves the valve by hand but the motor does not drive it
- Visible signs of a burnt-out or seized motor

- Confirm the valve body is a Drayton MA-type before ordering the actuator head only
- Isolate electrical supply before replacing the actuator; this is work for a competent installer
