What it is
The Drayton 27602 (679-3) is a genuine 22mm mid-position 3-port valve body, sold as the body only without an actuator head. It sits in the pipework and, together with a compatible actuator head, directs water between heating and hot water circuits.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Valve body leaks from the pipe joints or valve seat
- Valve fails to divert water correctly between heating and hot water even with a working actuator fitted
- Visible corrosion, scale or damage to the valve casing

- Confirm you need the body only — an actuator head (such as the Drayton 27651) is required separately to complete the assembly
- Check the existing actuator is one of the compatible types (MA1, 27651, ZA3, ZA5, or BGMVSP-23) before fitting
