What it is

A pack of 10 spring clamps manufactured by Vaillant under part number 256619. Spring clamps secure hose and pipe connections on Vaillant MAG and MAG Mini appliances, holding the joint under constant tension. They are a service item, typically renewed when a connection is disturbed or the clamp has lost its grip.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible corrosion or pitting on the clamp band
  • The clamp has lost tension and no longer grips the hose or pipe firmly
  • Weeping or dripping at a joint secured by the clamp
  • The clamp is distorted, stretched or bent out of shape
  • The clamp was removed during a repair and cannot be reused safely

Before you order

  • Confirm your appliance model against the fit list above
  • Check how many clamps are needed for the joint or joints being worked on
  • Compare the clamp against the one removed to confirm it is the correct item for the connection
  • Inspect the hose or pipe end for damage before refitting, as a worn hose will not seal even with a new clamp
