What it is
The Baxi Pilot/ASD NG (part 250023) is a pilot and automatic shut-off device assembly for natural gas appliances. It forms part of the ignition and flame supervision circuit on compatible Baxi Bermuda and Potterton Suprima models. The kit is catalogued as Kit ASD Pilot (RADS 5).
Signs this part needs replacing
- Pilot flame fails to ignite or will not stay lit once the control knob is released
- Repeated lockouts or flame failure shutdowns during operation
- Spark is present but the pilot does not light, indicating a blocked or damaged pilot assembly
- Yellow or sooty pilot flame instead of a steady blue flame
- Visible damage, corrosion or debris around the pilot burner or ASD
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the fit list
- Check the appliance is set for natural gas (NG); LPG versions use a different pilot assembly
- Verify the existing pilot/ASD assembly matches part 250023
- Inspect the pilot electrode, lead and burner for wear before fitting
