What it is
The Baxi Motorised Valve & Lead Kit is a diverter valve assembly supplied with its electrical lead, used on Baxi Bermuda Inset 2 and Inset 3 back boiler appliances. The motorised head drives the valve to divert water between the heating circuit and the domestic hot water store or cylinder according to demand. It is supplied under Baxi part number 244862.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Heating runs when only hot water is called for, or hot water runs when only heating is called for
- The motorised head fails to move the valve through its full travel, or is heard running continuously without changing position
- Stiff or seized valve spindle causing the actuator to stall or buzz
- No hot water or no heating despite the programmer and cylinder thermostat calling correctly
- Water weeping from the valve body or spindle gland
