Baxi 243341 Plastic Diverter Valve

The Baxi 243341 is a plastic-bodied diverter valve that forms the core of the diverter valve section on Baxi combi boilers. It is a directional water mechanism, so it is found only in combi appliances rather than heat-only or system boilers. Its job is to route the heated water either to the central heating circuit, such as radiators, or to the domestic hot water circuit serving the taps, according to which demand is active.

• Hot water runs warm or cold at the taps while the heating is calling for heat
• Radiators warm up when only domestic hot water is being drawn
• No hot water at the taps even though the boiler fires and the heating works normally
• Intermittent or inconsistent switching between heating and hot water modes
• Water weeping from the diverter valve body or from its seals and connections

• Confirm the part number 243341 against the appliance data badge or the manufacturer's parts list
• Check the boiler GC number and serial number before ordering
• Inspect the seals and O-rings on the valve housing, as a seal kit may be needed when the assembly is disturbed
• The valve body is plastic, so check the mounting points and connections for damage before refitting
