What it is
The Baxi 242503 is a spring clamp supplied with an L-shaped retaining plate. It is a fixing component used inside Baxi gas boiler assemblies to hold pipework, brackets and internal parts firmly in position against the casing or chassis. The clamp forms part of the manufacturer's brackets and clamps range for the 100HE, 80/2 HE PLUS, 50/2 HE PLUS and related Baxi models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The clamp no longer grips, allowing the plate or pipework it secures to move.
- Visible corrosion, pitting or distortion on the spring or the L-shaped plate.
- Rattle or vibration from the boiler casing area where the clamp should be holding a component steady.
- The plate has worked loose or the fixing has been disturbed during previous servicing.
- A clamp that has been over-stressed or bent during removal and will not seat correctly on refitting.
