The Baxi 242493 is a manifold assembly for the heat exchanger, used across the Baxi Combi and Solo HE boiler ranges and selected Potterton Gold models. It connects the heat exchanger to the boiler water circuit, carrying flow to and from the exchanger body. The part is supplied under the product name Manifold Assembly - Heat Exchanger.

- Water weeping, staining or crusting around the manifold joints
- System pressure loss with no visible leak elsewhere on the boiler
- Visible corrosion, scale or pitting on the manifold body
- Discolouration or debris build-up where the manifold meets the heat exchanger
- Repeated air ingress or gurgling noises from the heat exchanger area
