What it is

The Baxi 3 way diverter valve cartridge (241361) is a directional water control component fitted inside Baxi Bahama 100 combination boilers. It sits in the hydraulic section of the appliance and routes heated water either to the domestic hot water circuit or to the central heating circuit, depending on which demand is active. Because a combination boiler has no separate cylinder, this changeover function is what allows one heat exchanger to serve both the hot taps and the radiators.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • No hot water at the taps while the boiler still fires for central heating
  • Domestic hot water runs hot then cold, or only lukewarm, during a draw-off
  • Radiators begin to heat when a hot tap is opened
  • The heating circuit stays cold while the boiler runs in hot water mode
  • The cartridge sticks or fails to move between its two positions

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model and GC number against the compatibility list; Bahama 100 appliances were supplied with Honeywell and SIT control sets, which carry different references.
  • Check the numbers on the existing cartridge or the boiler's data badge before ordering.
  • Inspect the valve body and seals while the cartridge is removed and renew any worn O-rings or gaskets at the same time.
  • Follow the manufacturer's procedure for working on the hydraulic section, including isolation and draining.
