What it is
The Baxi 240759 is an outercase side panel, supplied as part of the boiler casing assembly. It forms one of the outer enclosure panels on the appliance, closing off the side of the case so the internal components are covered and the boiler presents its finished appearance. This panel is used across a number of Baxi appliances in the Platinum, 100 and 80 ranges.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible dents, cracks or deformation in the side panel
- Corrosion or rust staining along the panel edges or fixings
- Panel no longer seating correctly against the chassis or adjacent casing sections
- Damage caused during servicing or handling when the case is removed
- Missing or loose retaining fixings leaving the panel insecure
Before you order
- Check the appliance GC number and model against the compatibility list to confirm the panel suits your boiler
- Compare the part number on the existing panel with 240759, and note the earlier numbers 242505, 9102636 and B242505 where an older casing is fitted
- Inspect the casing fixings and any seals around the panel before refitting, replacing them if worn
- Confirm the appliance is fully isolated and cool before removing or refitting casing panels
