The Baxi 238965 is a gas tap kit supplied with an integrated flame failure device (FFD) ignition assembly and a gas filter. It is a Baxi-manufactured component that sits on the gas line into the appliance, controlling gas supply to the burner while the FFD shuts the gas off if the flame is lost. The kit is built for the Baxi Bermuda C5 and C5W back boiler appliance family.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The burner fails to light or the ignition will not spark at the gas tap assembly.
- The flame failure device does not hold, so the gas shuts off shortly after lighting.
- Gas flow to the burner is weak or intermittent when the tap is opened.
- Debris or discolouration is visible in the gas filter, restricting supply.
- The tap spindle is stiff, seized or leaking at the gland.
