What it is
The Baxi 237852 is a radiant plaque set supplied by Baxi for its Bermuda range of gas fires. The set comprises four radiant plaques, each carrying the part number 237851, which sit in the fire bed and radiate heat into the room once the burner is lit. Over time these plaques craze, crack and lose their glow, so a full set replacement restores even heat output and a clean flame picture.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, crazing or crumbling of the plaque surface
- Uneven or patchy glow across the fire bed when running
- Sooting or blackening on the plaques or surrounding fire parts
- Reduced radiant heat output despite the burner operating normally
- Flames lifting, yellowing or burning irregularly across the plaque face
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the compatibility list, as the same fire name can cover several variants
- Check the previous numbers 237851, 9102262 and 9225791 against the old part before ordering
