What it is
The Baxi 231402 is a 4 amp quick blow fuse fitted in the control panel of Baxi Bermuda, Solo 2, Solo 3 and Bermuda Inset 2 boilers. It protects the panel circuit that supplies the control knobs and digital display, allowing the boiler to be switched on and off, fault information to be read and operating modes to be set. A quick blow fuse opens rapidly on overcurrent, which limits damage to the panel electronics.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Control panel completely dead with no display and no response to the on/off control
- Boiler will not power up even though the supply at the fused spur is live
- Display flickers or drops out intermittently during operation
- Replacement fuse blows again as soon as the boiler is switched back on
- Loss of fault code readout or stored mode settings at the panel
