What it is
The Baxi 230667 is a front insulation panel (small, PF MK2) used on Baxi Solo 2 PF and Solo 3 PF/PFL gas boilers. It is listed within the burner group of spares and forms part of the boiler's internal heat shielding around the front of the combustion area. Its role is to limit heat transfer to surrounding components and casing surfaces.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, crumbling or flaking of the insulation material
- Discolouration, charring or scorch marks on the panel surface
- The panel has become brittle or has started to break up on handling
- Insulation material detaching from the casing or falling into the combustion area
- Heat damage to nearby components or casing surfaces consistent with failed insulation
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model and GC number against the manufacturer's parts list
- Check whether your appliance is the PF, PFL or System variant, as fitment differs across the range
- Compare the existing panel against the part number and size marking before ordering
- Inspect the surrounding insulation and burner components for related heat damage
