Altecnic Dynamical 1/2 Threaded BSP Angled TRV 230402

The Dynamical 1/2 Threaded BSP Angled TRV is a thermostatic radiator valve manufactured by Altecnic, forming part of the Dynamical radiator valve range. It regulates the flow of water through a radiator in response to the room temperature sensed at the valve head, so the radiator heats only as much as the setting demands. This version has an angled body pattern with 1/2 in threaded BSP connections.

• Radiator stays cold regardless of the valve setting, or heats continuously with the head turned down
• The valve head no longer operates the pin, or the pin sticks and does not return freely
• Water weeping from the spindle, gland or connection joints
• Whistling, rattling or knocking heard at the valve when the system runs
• Corrosion or scale build-up on the valve body or head

• Confirm the existing connections are 1/2 in threaded BSP, as thread type and size cannot be assumed from the pipe run alone
• Check whether the pipework enters the radiator from the side or the floor, so the angled body pattern matches the installation
• Decide whether the valve body and thermostatic head are both being replaced, or the body only
• If the valve is being swapped on a live system, plan for draining down or isolating the radiator first
