What it is
The Ariston 230202 is a safety valve with G1 female-to-female connections and an 8 bar set pressure. It is fitted to the Ariston SGA 300 and opens to discharge water when system pressure exceeds the set limit.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water continually weeping or dripping from the valve outlet when the system is below the set pressure.
- Discharge pipe running while the appliance is heating, with no overpressure condition present.
- System pressure repeatedly falling or failing to hold after topping up.
- Scale, debris or corrosion visible around the valve seat or outlet.
- The valve fails to open when pressure rises above the marked set pressure.
