What it is
The Vaillant 209820 is an inner door cover that forms part of the casing assembly on Vaillant gas boilers. It is listed for Ecotec PLUS and Ecomax PRO VU series models, where it closes the inner casing aperture. The cover helps maintain the integrity of the boiler casing and protects the components behind it.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracks, distortion or warping in the cover panel
- Corrosion or heat discolouration on the door surface
- The cover no longer sits flush or rattles when the boiler is running
- Damaged or seized fixings that prevent the door being secured correctly
- Deterioration around the door edge or seal face
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler's model and serial number against the manufacturer's parts list
- Check that part number 209820 matches the component currently fitted
- Inspect the door fixings and any seal or gasket, as these may need replacing separately
- Verify whether the existing cover is the inner or outer door, as these are separate components
