What it is

The Sime 2030252 is a Piracriten gasket measuring 16mm x 24.5mm x 2mm, listed in the parts catalogue as a silicone washer. It forms the seal at the joint it is fitted to on Sime Murelle Elite and Murelle HE gas boilers. It is a small consumable item, replaced whenever the joint it seals is disturbed or begins to weep.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Weeping or dripping at the joint the gasket seals
  • The gasket is hardened, flattened, cracked or perished
  • Water staining, scale or corrosion around the joint face
  • Repeated pressure loss on the boiler with no other obvious cause
  • The gasket is deformed or damaged after the joint has been opened

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model and part number against the appliance data plate
  • Check the gasket dimensions match the one removed: 16mm x 24.5mm x 2mm
  • Check the manufacturer's parts list for your model to confirm this is the correct gasket for the joint being worked on
