What it is

The Riello 20132526 is an analogue photocell (photodiode) used in Riello oil burners to monitor flame presence. It fits into the burner's control circuit and signals the control box when a flame is established, allowing the burner to run. It is used across the Riello RDB and RDB2 burner families.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Burner locks out shortly after ignition despite a flame being present
  • Repeated or intermittent lockouts with no other fault found
  • Burner fires then shuts down during the run cycle
  • Control box reports a flame failure fault
  • Photocell lens is sooted, discoloured or contaminated and cleaning does not restore reliable running
