What it is
This is a Riello burner motor supplied complete with a P2 capacitor rated at 4.5µF. It drives the burner fan and oil pump on Riello RDB oil burner units fitted to domestic pressure-jet boilers. The motor and capacitor are supplied together as a single assembly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Burner motor hums but does not run, or fails to start at all
- Burner repeatedly locks out on start-up
- Motor runs hot, is noisy, or smells of burnt windings
- Burner starts intermittently, often worse when cold
- Capacitor has bulged, leaked, or shows visible damage
