What it is
The packing for the cooling guide is a Navien component supplied for the NCB-CE range of system and combination boilers. It sits with the cooling guide assembly and provides the seal at that joint. It is listed under Navien part number 20037732A.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water or coolant weeping or staining around the cooling guide joint
- The packing is hardened, flattened, cracked or visibly deformed
- Scale, corrosion or residue building up at the sealing face
- Repeated pressure loss on the heating circuit that traces back to this joint
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above before ordering
- Check the cooling guide itself for damage, as the packing alone may not resolve a fault there
- Verify the part number 20037732A matches the item you are removing
- Isolate and drain down as required before starting work
