What it is
The Navien 20029713A is a vent exhaust packing used on LCB 700 series boilers. It forms the seal at the flue exhaust connection, closing the joint between the exhaust outlet and the flue path so that combustion products pass through the flue rather than escaping at the joint. It is a service item that is disturbed whenever the flue exhaust connection is opened.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible staining, soot tracking or condensate marks around the flue exhaust joint
- The packing is brittle, flattened, cracked or deformed when the joint is opened
- Combustion readings drift or the analyser shows spillage at the exhaust connection
- Draught or leakage felt at the flue exhaust joint while the boiler is running
- The packing has been disturbed during flue service and will not reseat cleanly
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler is an LCB 700 and note whether it is the internal or external variant
- Check the output rating (21KW, 28KW or 36KW) and the appliance type (combi, regular or system)
- Match the serial number on the data badge against the fitment list above
- Check the flue exhaust joint for any other damaged seals or gaskets before reassembly
