What it is

The Vokera 20028731 is a safety valve used on Vokera Verve gas boilers. It relieves excess pressure from the heating circuit, opening when system pressure exceeds the set limit and discharging through the boiler's discharge pipework. It is a serviceable component within the boiler's pressure relief and safety valve group.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water continually discharging from the boiler's pressure relief discharge pipe
  • System pressure dropping repeatedly, requiring frequent top-ups
  • The valve weeping or dripping when the system is cold and at normal pressure
  • System pressure rising above the normal operating range without the valve relieving
  • Scale or debris on the valve seat preventing it from reseating after lifting

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model against the fitment list above
  • Check the existing valve's set pressure and connections match before removal
  • Isolate the appliance, drain and depressurise the system before fitting
  • Inspect the discharge pipework for blockage or restriction at the same time
