What it is
The packing is a sealing component for the mix chamber on Navien NCB-CE ERP boilers. It is manufactured by Navien for use across the NCB-CE system and combination boiler range. The packing seals the mix chamber joint, preventing water and flue gas leakage at that connection.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or staining around the mix chamber joint
- Visible hardening, flattening or cracking of the packing material
- Scale or corrosion deposits at the sealing face
- Repeated loss of pressure traced to the mix chamber area
- Combustion readings drifting after the joint has been disturbed
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler is an NCB-CE ERP model and check the serial number against the fitment list
- Verify the existing part number is 20022743A before ordering
- Inspect the mix chamber sealing faces for pitting or damage that would prevent a clean seal
- Check whether any other seals or gaskets at the same joint also need renewing
