What it is
The Vokera 20013354 is an ignition transformer used in Vokera gas boilers. It forms part of the boiler's ignition unit, generating the high-voltage spark that lights the burner on a demand for heat or hot water. It is listed by the manufacturer for the Compact 28 SE.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite, with no spark at the burner.
- Repeated lockouts on start-up that clear only after several attempts.
- A clicking or ticking sound from the ignition unit but no burner flame.
- Visible damage, cracking, scorching or a burnt smell around the transformer body.
- Ignition becomes intermittent, with the boiler firing on some attempts and not others.
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model is the Vokera Compact 28 SE.
- Check the existing transformer against the part number 20013354 before ordering.
- Inspect the ignition leads, electrode and earth path, as a poor spark can also come from these components.
- Isolate the boiler from the electrical supply and gas before any work, and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
