What it is
The Glow-worm San. Safety Valve 10B Female is a pressure relief and safety valve used in Glow-worm gas boilers. It opens to discharge water when system pressure exceeds the set limit, protecting the appliance and its components from over-pressurisation. It is supplied under Glow-worm part number 2000802748.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water continually weeping or dripping from the discharge pipe when the system is below its pressure limit
- Boiler losing pressure repeatedly, requiring frequent topping up
- The valve failing to reseat after it has opened and discharged
- Scale or debris visible around the valve seat or outlet
- Discharge occurring at normal operating pressure rather than only at the set limit
Before you order
