What it is
The Glow-worm inner door seal is a shaped gasket that fits around the combustion chamber door on Ultracom and GW series gas boilers. It forms the gas-tight joint between the door and the heat exchanger face, preventing flue products and condensate from escaping past the door. The seal is supplied at a length of 1765mm and carries the manufacturer part number 2000801843.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, splitting or perishing of the seal material
- The seal has hardened or flattened and no longer sits proud of the door face
- Soot staining, condensate tracking or heat marks around the combustion door
- Combustion readings drifting outside the expected range on service
- The door cannot be pulled down evenly against the heat exchanger face
