What it is
The Glow-worm 2000801703 is a 63mm fan spacer used in the fan assembly of Ultracom HXI gas boilers. It sits between the fan and its mounting face to hold the correct spacing and alignment. A worn or distorted spacer allows the fan to sit incorrectly, which shows up as noise, vibration or poor seating of the fan assembly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Fan running noisily or rattling after the spacer has compressed or distorted
- Fan assembly not seating squarely on its mounting face
- Visible cracking, deformation or flattening of the spacer
- Vibration transmitted through the boiler casing when the fan runs
- Fan impeller contacting or rubbing against the housing due to incorrect spacing
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model against the Ultracom HXI fit list above
- Check the existing spacer measures 63mm before ordering
- Verify the part number 2000801703 matches the number on the component or the manufacturer's parts list
- Inspect the fan assembly for damage before refitting, as a failed spacer can be a symptom rather than the cause
