What it is
The SIT Tandem gas valve is a gas control component used on Glow-worm Hideaway floor-standing boiler models. It regulates the flow of gas to the burner in response to demand from the appliance controls. This valve carries the Glow-worm part number 2000801590 and the SIT reference 0.830.033.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The burner fails to light or lights only intermittently on a call for heat
- The boiler locks out repeatedly, with the fault returning after reset
- Flame is weak, unstable or drops out shortly after ignition
- Gas can be heard or smelled passing when there is no demand
- The valve does not respond to the appliance controls, leaving the burner permanently off or permanently on
