What it is
The valve mounting plate (base plate) for Alpha CD and HE series boilers, manufactured by Alpha and identified by part number 2.012647. It forms the mounting interface between the boiler's pipework connections and the appliance casing, carrying the flow and return tappings on the underside of the boiler. It is listed for the LPG variants of the CD18, CD24 and HE CB/SY ranges.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the base of the boiler around the pipe connections
- Corrosion, pitting or green/white scale deposits on the plate face
- Staining or damp patches on the wall or floor directly beneath the boiler
- Difficulty sealing the flow and return connections, with repeated joint leaks
- Visible cracking or distortion of the plate where the valves seat
