What it is
The Alpha flue restrictor (81mm) is a flue component fitted within the flue system of compatible Alpha gas boilers. It regulates the flow of flue gases through the flue path, which is required to keep combustion readings within the appliance's specified tolerances. This restrictor is used on C23 flue configurations.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Combustion analysis readings fall outside the appliance's specified tolerances
- Visible corrosion, distortion or heat damage to the restrictor
- The restrictor is missing or has been removed during previous flue work
- Flue draught or flue gas flow is incorrect for the installed flue configuration
- The restrictor no longer seats correctly within the flue assembly
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the manufacturer's parts list
- Check that the boiler is installed on a C23 flue configuration
- Verify the existing restrictor diameter is 81mm before ordering
- Check the part number 2.012335 matches the component being replaced
