What it is
The RS chamber top panel is a combustion chamber component manufactured by Alpha for the C23 LPG gas boiler. It forms the upper section of the burner chamber, closing the chamber and locating the burner assembly within it. The panel is exposed directly to flame and heat, so it is replaced when it becomes distorted, cracked or corroded.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible warping or distortion of the panel from prolonged heat exposure
- Cracks, splits or burn-through in the panel surface
- Heavy corrosion, scaling or flaking on the chamber side
- Soot deposits or scorching around the panel edges
- Combustion readings that cannot be set within tolerance
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance is an Alpha C23 running on LPG, as this panel is listed for that fuel type only
- Check the existing panel against part number 2.012279 before ordering
- Inspect the chamber seals and gaskets, as these are not supplied with the panel
- Isolate the gas and power supply and allow the appliance to cool before dismantling
