What it is

The back panel forms part of the sealed chamber on Alpha HE series gas boilers, closing off the rear of the combustion chamber assembly. It is manufactured by Alpha and listed under the burner section of the boiler spares range. The panel maintains the integrity of the sealed chamber so combustion air and flue gases are kept within the intended path.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible corrosion, pitting or perforation on the panel surface
  • Warping or distortion of the panel, preventing it seating correctly
  • Staining or soot marking around the chamber rear indicating a poor seal
  • Physical damage found during a service or combustion analysis check
