What it is
The Ferroli 80mm Outer Wall Flue Seal is a boiler flue accessory used to seal the point where the flue passes through an external wall. It forms part of the Ferroli accessories range and is sized at 80mm to suit the corresponding flue diameter. Its role is to close off the wall penetration, keeping the flue outlet weathertight and the building fabric protected.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, hardening or perishing of the seal material
- Draughts or cold air felt around the flue where it exits the wall
- Damp patches, staining or water ingress on the internal wall near the flue
- The seal has become loose, displaced or partially detached from the wall
- Gaps around the flue penetration allowing debris or insects to enter
