What it is
This is a Vaillant sealing ring, supplied as a pack of 10 under part number 193535 (also written 19-3535). It is a small elastomeric seal that sits between two mating faces inside a Vaillant heating appliance, closing the gap between them so that water cannot escape past the joint. Sealing rings of this type are fitted at unions, connections and component interfaces where a compression joint alone would not hold water.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the joint the ring seals
- The ring has hardened, flattened or cracked with age and no longer springs back when compressed
- Scale, corrosion or mineral deposits are visible around the seal face
- Water staining or residue on the casing or components below the joint
- A leak that returns shortly after the joint is re-tightened
