What it is
The Vaillant 190717 is a pressure relief valve used on Vaillant gas boilers in the Thermocompact, Turbomax and Thermo Compact families. It opens to discharge water when system pressure exceeds the set limit, protecting the boiler and heating circuit from over-pressurisation. It is a serviceable safety component and is listed under pressure relief and safety valves in the boiler spares range.

- Water continually weeping or dripping from the discharge pipe with the system cold
- System pressure that will not hold and needs frequent topping up
- The valve fails to reseat after operating, leaving a steady trickle
