What it is

The Vaillant 190248 is a fan assembly (supplied complete) used on Vaillant gas boilers in the EcoTec Exclusive, EcoTec and Ecomax ranges. It moves combustion air into the burner and carries flue products out to atmosphere, so it sits at the centre of the boiler's safe combustion and flueing operation. It is listed under gas boiler spares in the fans category.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Boiler locks out or fails to ignite, with the fan failing to run on a demand for heat
  • Grinding, scraping or rumbling noise from the fan area during start-up or running
  • Fan runs intermittently, slows, or stops partway through a cycle
  • Overheating or flue-related fault codes appearing alongside poor combustion
  • Visible damage, play or contamination at the fan impeller or housing

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model and GC number from the appliance rating plate against the fit list above
  • Check the existing fan's part number matches 190248 before removal
  • Confirm whether the boiler requires the complete fan assembly rather than a separate component
  • Gas-carrying and combustion components must be fitted and commissioned by a competent, registered engineer
